Start with a blank pathway

Build a pathway manually when you already know the intended structure.

When to start blank

A blank pathway is useful for a new service design, a short algorithm, or a workflow whose structure is already agreed. It opens the editor with a focused getting-started guide.

Build the first branch

Add the entry step, connect it to an action or decision, then follow each branch to an outcome. Keep the visible node title short and place supporting detail inside the node content.

  1. Add the starting step.
  2. Add an action or decision node.
  3. Connect the nodes in reading order.
  4. Label decision branches clearly.
  5. Run Pathway checks, then test the pathway.
